Japanese smile doesn’t mean ‘Yes’… How to analyze their response?

Japanese people are not very expressive, so sometimes it might be difficult to know what they are thinking!

It is not always clear and easy to understand what they mean exactly. If a Japanese woman smiles at you, it does not necessarily mean ‘Yes’. If they say ‘Tabun(maybe)’, it could mean ‘No’.

It is always better to be careful because you might look too pushy to them. Take your time!

If you ask them for a date and they say ‘Kondo (next time), you could ask, ‘Itsu (when)?’ If they say ‘Kondo’ again, or ‘Wakaranai’ (I don’t know), it is most likely they want to say ‘I don’t want to go out with you!’
